When I first heard the solo of Johnny B. Goode, I knew I had to play guitar.

Raised on the rock of the 50s and 60s and a child of the 80s, Joes influences range from early Beatles to Pearl Jam. Surrounded by a musically talented family, Joe Tertel started playing guitar at the age of 12 and started writing at 17.

Throughout the years, Joe began to gravitate toward the blues of SRV and Eric Clapton and as his songwriting matured, Joe began to look at artists like U2, Tom Petty and local bands such as the Badlees as influences. This mix of musical inspiration and personal reflection accounts for Joes unique lyrics and style.

Over the years, Joe has played in original rock and cover bands. Today, Joe plays guitar and writes original music that fills the air of coffee houses and musical venues throughout Central Pennsylvania. Joe is also a member for the Harrisburg based band Bailey, where he plays bass guitar.
